Important veterans call info.

I was asked for your assistance in forwarding the following info to affiliate members as far and wide as possible.

This Wednesday, Veteran’s Day, VIVA will be sponsoring a community call for Veterans and their loved ones, as well as any other who wish to join in. This special 2 hour event is called “Thank you for your service” and is both an informative call to all Vets, but also a community sharing one. In the first hour, Tyson Ernst, president of VIVA will be talking with instructors of the VA blind rehab centers and getting an update on what is new as far as training and programs, including an update on how training is being delivered during the current Covid closure, as the BRC’s are in-patient programs.

In the second hour, members of the call may share stories of their own service, or friends and family can share about the Veterans in their lives who have donned the uniform of the armed forces to protect and serve.

Lastly, I have found many Veterans do not know about VIVA, please include that to join VIVA, one needs to send an email to veteransofacb@... and we will send out a form or contact number to help in filling out the form. We currently only accept checks for the $20 annual dues, but we will be working on an online presence in this next year.

If any Veteran in your affiliate wishes to contact me for help, my cell is: 661.317.6143
