We would like to congratulate Eric Bridges on his new position as Executive Director for the American Foundation For The Blind (AFB). Eric has done an amazing job in his various roles with the American Council Of The Blind (ACB) over the past 15 years. Eric was elevated to ACB Executive Director in fall 2015 and his leadership has been the cornerstone of ACB's influence over the past 7 years. He has directed our staff and represented our organization by speaking out on the issues impacting our blind and low vision community. We thank Eric for his service to ACB and we look forward to continuing our strong partnership with AFB.
Eric's last day with ACB will be on March 21. The ACB Board Of Directors will hold an Executive Session at our March 9 Board of Directors meeting to consider next steps in filling the ACB Executive Director position with an Interim Executive Director. We have a strong board and staff that will all work together to continue the mission of our organization. Together, we will work to make this an orderly and seamless transition.
