Teamviewer issues

Sharon Davis

Hi, All,

I messed up trying to set up Teamviewer.  I think I put my email address in twice, once by the ‘auto-fill (I hate that feature) and once manually.  There is no telephone support from Teamviewer not even for those with licenses, I tried that menu option on the phone when no support was offered to us ‘freebies.’

Uninstalling and starting over doesn’t work; trying to ‘guess’ what I may have done doesn’t work.

Anyone with any other ideas?

Thanks!

Sharon, not sure this will help but did you try creating a new account with just your correct e-mail, not your incorrect double e-mail?

Hi, Frank,

Thank you for your idea.

We tried downloading Teamviewer from scratch.  When the homepage opened, it greeted me by name.

My husband said that the program recognizes the machine; i.e., my computer so knows that I have an account.

I do need a new computer, maybe this is the time…?

Hi Sharon, I took a look at this myself on my computer. It does remember your name and account. Where it says my account name if I TAB one more time I get to a button that says “Don’t have an account, sign in”. If I click that button it allows me to enter a different name and password or create a different account. Do you find that button?

thanks

Hi, Frank,

I do not find “my account name” on the Teamviewer homepage.

Can you send me the URL of what you are looking at?

Thanks!

Hi Sharon, I am not actually looking at any web page at all. What I did was install the Team Viewer application on my computer and when I launched the application that is what I got.

Hi, Frank,

So we re-installed Teamviewer for the third time  and it seems to have worked even though we never did see the phrase “my account name.”  Thanks for all your perseverance and support.
