Hurricane Ian has cleared SW Florida. I am with my sister at her Condo in Lehigh Acres, in Lee County. We are safe. We lost power last night. 90 percent of Lee County is without power. We expect to be without power for several days. I am preserving the battery iphone battery and will not be taking calls. We have very little cell service. We have no internet. Damage is extensive throughout the regio I am scheduled to fly home Saturday. The flight is still posted without a status. The airport is closed.
The good news is we are safe and there has been no damage inside the condo. We have yet to go outside to check the damage on the outside A large portion of the Sanibel causeway/bridge was taken down by the hurricane. We are getting all of our news the other radio, have battery operated fans and the temperatures are supposed to be lower. I will be off the grid until we either get power back here or I make it home to Boston. Thanks for everybody's thoughts and prayers Rick

Prayers and healing energy for all those in the path of this storm, especially our friends in Florida. Stay safe. It sounds like this is one of the worst storms we’ve ever had. RMB

Rick, glad to hear you weathered the storm safely. Winds are pretty stiff here, NW of Orlando, at this time with lots of rain. Be cautious venturing out to assess any damage. Sending you and your sister prayers for all to get back to normal safely and quickly.
