We'll Roar on August 5!

Ray Campbell

Hi Lions:

Thank you to everyone who responded to my question about whether or not we
should cancel our August 5 conference call since ACB is planning to hold a
community call to gather input on the constitution and bylaws amendments
that we'll be reading, discussing and voting on August 14 and 15. The
results, 7 in favor of ACB Lions holding our call as usual, 5 in favor of
postponing it and three that didn't express an opinion one way or another.

So, here's my plan, based on input from Lion Carla and others. We will meet
and roar as usual on Thursday, August 5 at 8:30 p.m. Eastern time. My plan
is to discuss the minutes, Treasurer's report, then discussion about our
program at the ACB Conference and Convention. After that, what I'd like to
do is discuss the amendments and what's going to be happening on the 14th
and 15th. We'll know at least what the draft amendments are, and I'm
Officer Liaison to the Constitution and Bylaws Committee so will be able to
talk about them.

ACB is planning a second community event on Tuesday, August 10. This may
mean we won't have a chance for club sharing on August 5 and I'm sorry about
that, but I want all of us to be able to understand the amendments we'll be
discussing and ask any questions and share your feelings on them.

Thanks all, I'll get the link out next week.
