Dear Lion Ray and other fellow ACB Lions: This is Erika Wolf, from St. Louis, Missouri, could any of you tell me: Are there any Cyber Clubs that any of you belong to within your state areas? I was just curious to know whether or not any of you belong to a Branch or Cyber Club at this time. I was just curious to know: how many districts are there out there within the various states that offer Virtual Lions Clubs. Have a wonderful day, I appreciate your response to my inquiry, and look forward to speaking with you all tonight via the conference call. Erika Wolf

Hi Erika, I will respond to your question, but then I have a question of my own. I have heard of cyber clubs, but don't know where they are. Since March, our club, along with many have been meeting by Zoom. I personally will be happy when we can meet in person. However, we have done and are doing some online fundraisers, and have made a little money doing that. But here's my question. How is it possible to fulfill our We Serve motto virtually? We struggle with that, wondering how we can continue to serve. We did have one get-together for an eyeglass sorting party. It was in the fall, and much of it was done outdoors, and everyone was masked. We got a lot of glasses sorted, and people were happy to see each other. We had more people than normal to sort eyeglasses. What is the purpose, and how do cyber clubs serve? So many of the things that we normally would do for service projects have had to be canceled because of Covid. And since most of our members are older, what sort of resistance has there been to purely Cyber clubs? I have heard that there are some clubs of younger people who really thrive this way, but I feel a bit ambivalent, so this is an interesting tepic. There is a cyber club in Alabama but I don’t know much about it. One of our chapter members is in it. I think it is strange. How could you do much if you only meet on line. I have asked her to join ACB Lions but she has not.
