Even if you read all the convention announcements and all the
information on the convention website, you probably still have
questions about the American Council of the Blind national conference
and convention coming up from July 16 - 23. This year's convention is
even larger than last year's. Almost 140 sessions and events are now
scheduled on all kinds of subjects. You'll find sessions about living
with low vision, braille, technology, and news about audio
description. There are exhibits and tours and social events. There are
chances to learn about so many new things that can be helpful at home,
at work, and at play. And the best part is that this convention is as
close as your computer, your phone, and your Echo device or your
Victor Stream. Literally everyone, no matter where you live, can
attend because it is all virtual. Janet Dickelman, ACB Convention
Co-ordinator, will be our special guest at this week's Roundabout
(Friday, May 28). She will answer your questions, no matter how great
or how small. You don't have to submit questions in advance; just show
up and get in on our conversation. Ask about how to register, how to
earn continuing education or professional development hours for work,
how to make sure you don't miss anything that is going on, how to get
the newspaper published throughout the convention - all the details.
