Kentucky Top 40 Auction - Zoom Link and Rules Turn your radio on and
bid, buy and have fun at the Top 40 Auction, happening tonight,
(Friday, Nov. 19) from 7:00 to 10:00 PM Eastern at the Kentucky
Council of the Blind Virtual Conference and Convention.

A list of the 42 items up for bid was emailed yesterday (Thursday) to
several email lists. If you did not receive that list, you can request
one by emailing kcb@... and it will be sent to you as a
reply to your message.
HOW TO REGISTER, LISTEN AND BID
If you have already registered for the Kentucky convention, you are
automatically registered for the Top 40 auction. If you have not
registered, call (502) 895-4598 and give us your name, phone number,
and email address. You must register before you can bid, so don't wait
until the last minute to sign up.
We have experienced some issues with our email distribution lists, so
we are including the auction-only zoom link and dial-in information at
the end of this message. We encourage you to call in to Zoom and stay
on the line throughout the auction so you are ready to bid on items
you want.
Listen to the auction on ACB Media Channel 8. You can listen on your
Alexa device, Victor Reader Stream, or through the ACB Link app on
your smartphone. Call ACB Media from any telephone at 518-906-1820 and
select option 8 from the menu; or go to www.acbmedia.org/8 on your
computer.

AUCTION RULES
1. You can listen to our auction on ACB Media 8, but you must register
and call us on Zoom in order to bid. Register as a bidder by calling
502-895-4598 and providing your name, phone number and email address.
2. When you join the call, you will be muted. Listen for instructions
on how to raise your hand to place your bids. You are encouraged to
remain on Zoom rather than hanging up between bids.
3. Quickly state your bid, without any chat or conversation. Everyone
will hear your bid. We will repeat your bid, lower your hand, and
place you back on mute.
4. To bid again, raise your hand again, just as you did before, wait
to be called on, and state your bid. We will again repeat your bid,
lower your hand, and place you on mute.
5. If you raise your hand and then decide not to bid, just say "pass"
when it is your turn to bid.
6. We will announce when an item is about to close. All winners will
be announced on the air.
BIDDING COURTESY
Because this is a live broadcast, there are some rules that must be
followed in order for the evening to be pleasant for everyone. Anyone
not following these rules will be dropped from the bidding line and
could be blocked from re-entering the call and participating in the
auction the rest of the evening.
1. Do not mute and unmute yourself unless asked to do so. Doing so
will interfere with others on the call.
2. Foul language, broadcast of inappropriate video etc. will not be
tolerated. Any individual engaging in such behaviors will be
immediately blocked from the auction.
3. Raise your hand only when you wish to bid. Wait for your turn to
bid; we will call on you in the order hands are raised.
4. While your hand is raised and you are waiting to bid, make sure
your surroundings are quiet. Turn down the radio; ask others in the
room to please stop talking; do not rattle paper or snack bags, wash
dishes, set the microwave etc. Remember that background noise is
amplified when you are on the air, and it is irritating to others.
PAYING FOR AUCTION ITEMS
Placing a bid is a commitment on your part to pay for that item,
should you be the winner. All items are sold as is, and all sales are
final. Payment must be made by credit card using VISA, MasterCard,
Discover or American Express; no checks accepted.
On Monday, after the convention, we will begin contacting winners to
obtain credit card information; this process will take several days.
If a winner defaults on a bid, the runner-up will be contacted
concerning the item.
SHIPPING
Shipping charges are the responsibility of the buyer on most items,
and will be added to the final sale price. If you purchase multiple
items, shipping will be combined whenever possible. Sorry, but we
cannot offer international shipping.
