I don’t recall your time zone, but the convention begins at 10:00 or 10:30 AM EDT and runs only four and a half hours per day. All you can do is the best you can do, as they say.

Mitch, I emailed Janet yesterday about this voting thing as in many ways it is very confusing and not necessarily inclusive. She said voting would commence at 10 AM on Monday though candidates would be announced Sunday evening. To me it would make a lot of sense if a delegate, alternate or someone from ACB would send out an email blast to let people know that there is a contested election so cast your vote. I know I can’t spend the day listening to these sessions. If others can, that’s great. Just a thought.

As ACB Lions alternate delegate, I will be assisting Carla Ruschival in the delegate voting process. At last Thursday’s business meeting, we agreed to support Donna Brown, Ray Campbell, and David Trott for their current positions, and Kenneth Semien, Sr., who is running for a position on the ACB Board of Directors. However, it is likely that there will be a contested election for ACB First Vice President as well as for an additional open seat on the Board.

We decided that when a contested election occurs, ACB Lions members will contact me either via e-mail, or by telephone to let me know to whom you want your vote to go. I will keep a running tally and forward that tally to Carla to divide our four votes appropriately. You may e-mail me at mitch.pomerantz@... or call (626) 844-4388 to cast your vote. Please do not text me! Remember that your vote only counts toward how Carla will divvy up ACB Lions four votes. You are still entitled to cast your vote as an individual.
