Ray Campbell

Hi ACB Lions:

I got the following message from ACB Director of Development, Tony Stephens. Do you think we could help with this?

Thanks,

Lion Ray Campbell

Hey Ray,

Hope you’re doing well a week out of convention. I truly hate again that we were not able to enjoy Chicago this summer.

On a completely different note, I have a favor to ask. As you may recall, we’re working with Proctor & Gamble on delivering 2,000 care packages to blind and visually impaired residents in six major metro areas (New York, Cincinnati, Orlando, New Orleans, San Francisco and seattle). We’ve run into difficulty with delivery of packages between the warehouses where they are now sitting and to end consumers who are blind. Thus, we’re trying to find any additional support in the six communities, and the Lions came to mind. Do you think this is something that ACB Lions could help in making contact with some clubs in these local areas, where members might be able to help deliver packages? Let me know if this sounds like a possibility - I was a lion for a decade, and think it would be a great service project for members who feel like they’ve been sitting on their hands for the past four months. Thanks much and hope to talk soon.

Best,

Tony

Dear Ray:

I think this sounds great and can probably make this happen. Let me know if you need my help. There are several unanswered questions in my mind; such as, where are they located in each City and if they are ready for delivery.

Hi Margarine:

If you can help that would be great.  I’d say work with Tony to help find where the items are located in each area.
