Hello to all of the great Lions on this list.  Thought I would toss out some questions for you.  What kind of projects does your club sponser, hold or participate in?  What do you do for membership recruitment?  What kinds of things do you do for fund raisers?  If I think of more, I'll toss them out there.  My club purchased a large trailor that we use as a consession stand.  We have some gas grills for cooking hotdogs and hamburgers.  We cook in the Lowe's parking lot once a month and for any other event we can get a spot.   I look forward to what you have to share!
Yours in Lions!
Smile! GOD loves you!

Hello Lion Ray and fellow Lions,
My name is Donna Brown, and I am the membership chair for the Romney Lions club in District 29I. I have been to several Zone meeting, a few fall conferences, and two state conventions. I have also been to our state Leadership School. That was one of the most informative and fun conferences I have ever been to. I have been a Lions for about 18 years.
Take care and Let's continue to serve our communities.

Hi Lion Ray,

I have been a Lion since 1981 and have missed only a few State Conventions in those years, I attend most District meeting and I attended the USA/Canada Forum in September.  I am on the Case Services committee for Mid-South Lions Sight and Hearing Service in Memphis and I just got home Sunday from the Quarterly meeting in Memphis.
This is a great list and I hope to learn from you guys/

Ray,
Hello from Mississippi! I have attended 3 or 4 of our state conventions, several of our mid winter conventions, district Cabinet meetings, local Board meetings when I can and I had the opportunity to attend the Canada Forum this year. I have been in Lions for 6 years. I am currently serving as the 1st Vice and will get to be the 1st female President of our club next year. The guys are very supportative of me. I hope I will make them proud. I hope this list will be a great resource and support. Welcome to all of the new members.

Fellow Lions,
Here's a thought;

Perhaps we in ACBL could organize enough of our members and participate
in the ACB Walk this year. It's going to be indoors at a mall. Each lap
around the mall is a mile. Last year's event was a 3K.

This would be great publicity for Lions..a Pride of Lions at the ACB
Walk!

ACB Lions,

Welcome to all our ACB lions that are joining our list serve.   It has taken a lot of work and we look forward to lots of fun and discussion.

Let me look for someone to help with the first assignment.   That is what this list can be used for.   Who knows of a strong, welcoming club in phoenix Arizona.   We are going to be having our yearly visit there next summer and we would like to plan things far in advance.   If you know of a club in the Phoenix area that might meet close to the hotel that we will be staying in, give me a shout and we will see what goes on.

Again, let me welcome everyone and thanks so much for your support.   I will be sending out the monthly reminder about our December meeting, so until then keep roaring.

Lion Ray and all,
I live in district 4a2, and have attende several district and multi-district conventions. My favorite is our multi-district convention that has been held the last two years in Cayucus Beach...literally on the beach! What fun!
The Cayucus Lions have their own clubhouse, and it is a very nice one.

I have yet to attend a Lions international convention, as they fall around the same time as ACB.

Lion Ray has addressed a great resource that we have available to us. It's
fun networking via e-mail, however District and Zone Meetings, as well as
State Conventions are in a league of their own. Yes, it is Networking that
will assist us in identifying more resourceful ideas than you can imagine.
We recently attended a District Cabinet Meeting that gave us the chance to
meet so many kind people with a desire to serve. It is a privilege to be
able to access and utilize resources to the fullest. In addition to serving
as Membership Chairman, I also enjoy being the District Song Leader in my
area.
There is a lot to share. Let's remember those who join acb-lions in the
future will appreciate us sharing some of the communication we are sharing
with one another, so don't be surprised when you observe a repeat of
thoughts that are shared today.
