Alabama Mud Cake

Alabama Mud Cake

1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, with juice

1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling

1 (18.25 ounce) box devil's food cake mix

1 cup finely chopped pecans

1/2 cup mint chocolate chips

1 stick butter, sliced

 

Preheat oven to 350.

Pour pineapple with juice into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch baking pan, spread evenly.

Spread cherry pie filling over pineapple layer.

Sprinkle with cake mix.

Sprinkle with nuts and chocolate chips.

Distribute sliced butter evenly over top.

Bake for 40 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean

. Cool.
